The material is selected to exclude those that are too soft, too hard, or too light in weight (as these affect the resonance and overall playability). The tone is rich in vibration, and it's easy to control from bright to dark sounds. It's also easy to control the pianissimo, and the balance between the low and high registers has been carefully adjusted. By using a new machine instead of the one previously used, the base is slightly thicker, but the slope from the part you put in your mouth to the tip is beautiful, resulting in good response and a stable, well-balanced finish. The Medir cane is profiled using Medir's processed kamaboko-shaped cane, and shaped using a Reeds 'n Stuff straight shaper R1. The thread on the reed is currently light pink. Since I have to play it to adjust it, I have marked it as "Like New," please understand. The photos of the reed are old, so I will post new ones as soon as they are available.
