Studied at Tama Art University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Design, Textile Major, and began making shoes independently while in university. After launching "archi doom" with the support of a shoe manufacturer in 1996, he started his own label "MIHARAYASUHIRO" in 1997. After his first participation in the Milan Collection in 2004, he moved his presentation venue to Paris in 2007 and continues to present at Paris Collection. In January 2016, the brand name was changed to "Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO". His designs, which incorporate innovative ideas and in-depth design work into clothing and shoes without being bound by existing frameworks, are themed as "stoic yet playful clothing" and continue to attract attention both domestically and internationally.
