This is a long bag for a medium-neck (chū-zao) shamisen or a thin-neck (hosozão) shamisen. It was made using fabric from a kimono that was unpicked and washed. There are no stains and it is in beautiful condition. A fantastical rose is drawn as a single point. The pattern is the same on the front and back. The background color is ultramarine. It is a satin-like fabric. The lining uses unused white juban fabric. There is a pattern of flowers, etc. Both the outer and inner fabrics are 100% silk. This is a handmade item created by an amateur as a hobby, so thank you for your understanding.
