Although unused, it has been stored for a long time, so please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect item. It will be shipped folded. Swatow embroidery originated in a region with traditional embroidery techniques. In the 18th century, Christian missionaries introduced European lace and embroidery techniques, which led to the development of a unique embroidery culture. Currently, a small number of elderly women are involved in embroidering handkerchiefs, but there are almost no young successors, making it difficult to pass on the skills. Some of the more intricate patterns can no longer be made, and each piece seems to be a valuable "work of art."
