This is a Type-C version of the Arduino Pro Micro, a microcontroller often used in DIY keyboards, split keyboards, and the like. It has a Type-C connector. Apart from the connector, it's exactly the same as the micro USB version often included in kits, so you can easily convert to Type-C just by replacing it. Although it's called Pro Micro, the internal components vary depending on the manufacturer. Some may not work simply by replacing them, or may cause issues with the connection between the left and right halves when used in a split keyboard, or may have poor responsiveness during fast typing. However, this one works without any problems. I've tried several and finally found one that can be used without stress. Of course, it's plug-and-play. I have sold many of these, and there have been no reports of problems. They are widely used by people other than 7sPro users. I have confirmed the operation on 7sPro for each lot. The feel of operation, including communication between the left and right halves, is exactly the same as the original. I have been using it for about 3 years without any problems. Since it's Type-C, the connector shouldn't come loose like micro USB, so soldering with the included pin headers should be fine. If you absolutely want to be able to remove it, please purchase a "con-through" from Yusha Kobo. Regarding setup, please refer to the build guide for each keyboard and perform it yourself.
