"Edo Sunago" is a topography of Edo written in the mid-Edo period. <br><br> The author is the haiku poet Kikuoka Zhanryo. Later, "Zoku Edo Sunago" was published by the author himself, and an augmented edition, "Saiko Edo Sunago," was published in later generations. <br><br> Years had passed since the publication of "Edo no Ko" in 1687, the predecessor of the Edo topography, and many points became impractical, such as the appearance of place names whose locations were unknown. Therefore, Kikuoka Zhanryo and the influential publisher Yorozuya Seibei published it in response to the demands of the times. <br><br> Eight years were spent on the editing.
