This is a dress made from a disassembled, washed, and ironed silk kimono with basting stitches still attached. It features a cute, large green bird, bold roses, and plum blossoms. The base color of the kimono is a bluish-purple kikyo color (bellflower color). It has a very beautiful color and plum blossoms are patterned throughout the fabric. The fabric feels smooth. I think it will gently conform to your body. The pockets and sleeves use the orange lining (hakkake) that came with this kimono. The impression changes when you roll up the sleeves. Even when the sleeves are down, I wanted to show the orange color, so I made it so that the orange color peeks out like the hem of a kimono. Unfortunately, there are holes where the thread was tied tightly and came undone (Photo 15). There is another spot that I couldn't avoid, so I left the thread attached (Photo 16). Please understand... Since it is an old kimono, it is unused, but upon disassembling it, there is some discoloration (Photo 20).
