This is a beautiful visiting kimono (tsukesage) with a lovely brown to light purple gradient. The design features gradient stripes at the hem and sleeve cuffs. The skillful and delicate hand-embroidered birds and grapes are captivating. You'll be mesmerized by the gradient of the embroidery threads. The sleeves are uniquely long and rounded, in the Genroku style. If you prefer regular-length sleeves, you can have them altered by a professional tailor or specialist. The accompanying obi (sash) is a matching grape pattern. This obi is a pre-tied obi from Yamato. It's been made so you can put it on easily. This obi is made without cutting, so it can be disassembled and become a regular fukuro obi (formal obi). Please rest assured. There is also a box available; please contact me if you would like it. The price will be slightly higher if the box is included, so please understand. I believe this is Oshima Tsumugi silk, but I have lost the certification tag, so please forgive me.
