Unused ☆ This is a large tray, a traditional craft of Kagawa Prefecture, "Sanuki-bori" (Sanuki carving). The box has a few scuffs on the corners, but it's in good condition. Size: Width approx. 45cm, Diameter approx. 31cm, Height approx. 3cm Features: It is made by hand-carving from a single board, and the chisel marks remaining on the surface create a deep and rich expression. Technique: It is characterized by the carving techniques using carving knives and swords, and the use of colored lacquer. In particular, three techniques, "Kinma," "Zonsei," and "Choshitsu," have been established. Choshitsu: By repeatedly applying multiple layers of lacquer and carving down to the necessary color layer, the buried colors appear, expressing beautiful patterns.
