This is a set of three stacked pure silver sake cups made by the Japan Mint. Due to long-term storage, there is some silver sulfide tarnish and discoloration, but there are no noticeable dents or distortions. The paulownia crest (Goshichi no Kiri) is clear, and the patterns show little wear. The largest cup's underside and the smallest cup's surface have slightly more advanced sulfide tarnish. Weight: Approximately 393g The iridescent to brownish discoloration on the surface is considered to be natural silver sulfide tarnish, or "character," and has not been treated.
