Imari ware, antique plate, bird design, for Kintsugi, Sometsuke, large plate, chipped, with cracks, old ceramic ------------------- Description: This is an antique Imari ware plate, likely from the late Edo period. It features a design of birds and fruits in Sometsuke (blue and white), with a soft brushstroke and beautiful deep indigo color. It has the characteristic crackling and slight irregularities from firing, giving it a calm, aged appearance. There are three chips on the rim and cracks throughout the plate. Fine cracks, likely from the manufacturing process, can also be seen. It can be enjoyed as is, or is also recommended as a material for Kintsugi (gold repair), Maki-e restoration, or for creating antique restoration art. Diameter: There is a kiln mark on the underside of the foot. There are age-related stains and scratches. Please check the photos carefully.
