A copper vase from Takaoka Copperware, with its original box. The body is a reddish color, close to pure copper, with black accents in the design. Takaoka Copperware is the general term for copperware made in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture. It is the only production area for copper castings in Japan, a world-renowned traditional craft with a history of about 400 years. I inherited this from my grandmother, but I decided to offer it for sale because I thought it would be better if it went to someone who appreciates it. I don't think there are any noticeable scratches or stains, but please check the photos for the condition.
