It comes with a shoulder strap for diagonal carrying, so it can be used either over the shoulder or diagonally, depending on your needs. It has a large capacity and can hold a lot of luggage. I used it with affection, so there is some wear and tear. There are also some areas where the paint on the metal fittings has come off.
