Obsidian (Tokachi Stone) is a natural glass (a type of volcanic rock) formed 1.5 million years ago by the intense volcanic activity of the Daisetsuzan mountain range, the central highlands of Hokkaido. As a power stone, it is said to ward off evil and bad luck, absorb and purify negative energy, enhance potential abilities, intuition, and judgment, promote mental stability and self-understanding, and support the achievement of goals. This is a work from a workshop in Kamishihoro, Hokkaido. It is an ornament with a silhouette of a Ezo deer carved on it.
