They were only worn once. They were worn indoors, but a small amount of sand got on them because my child briefly walked on an outdoor concrete surface (about 3 meters) between the gymnasium and the corridor to the classroom. There is a slight scuff mark on the toe of the right shoe, but I don't think it's noticeable. There is room even when wearing socks. These are comfortable shoes.
