I think this wide bottom is perfect for simmered fish and hot pot dishes. While many Vita Craft products are shifting their production bases overseas, this is a highly-regarded American-made product. It's an excellent stainless steel pot. There are minor scratches from use, but it's in very good and clean condition. There is no warping or burnt-on oil stains. The resin parts also show no deformation or degradation from heat and are very glossy. I believe you can continue to use it for a long time. This is a used item.
