Thank you for viewing. This is Nishijin Omeshi from "Kei Matsui," a long-established Kyoto manufacturer. I purchased it at a kimono Yamato exhibition a few years ago. The actual color is darker than the photos, closer to black. As it is a single-layered Omeshi, I think it can be worn in a wide range of seasons and occasions, from early spring to winter, and from casual to semi-formal. I was drawn to the bold design, typical of Kei Matsui, and purchased it. It has been stored at home, but I have aired it out regularly, so there is no odor or stains.
