The hole goes through, but you can't see through it unless you turn it (off-center), and it doesn't look like it was drilled mechanically, such as with a drill pattern. The surface has a glossy shine, and it's smooth and feels weathered over time. Each eye seems to have a core, a mysterious dzi bead. I don't know when it's from due to the fading of the color. The images are a bit dark. The 8th image is closer to the actual item.
