This is an obi締め (obi cord) made in Japan. This is a reversible Japanese obi締め with different colors on both sides. It is made with a braiding technique that is similar to a round braid (冠組) but is in between a round braid and a flat braid (平組), making it a versatile obi締め that can be easily matched with plain-colored kimonos, komon (casual patterned kimonos), or even summer kimonos.
