This is stated in the NHK Chen Min Erhu Introductory Text. Hu Hanrou won the silver prize at the 1999 Erhu Making Competition. Compared to rosewood, this Ming and Qing old red wood has a larger volume and a warm tone, making it comfortable to play. Photo 17 shows the identification sticker mark.
