Perfect for Hinamatsuri (Doll Festival) decorations, this is a temari (decorative ball) and paper balloon-shaped incense burner. It is approximately 10cm in diameter and about 11cm tall including the lid. The gold accents and vibrant colors are striking, but the rounded shape, the uneven coloring, and the iridescent glaze give it a gentle glow, creating a piece that is both refined and charming. My family apparently fell in love with it and bought it during a trip long ago. I believe it is Kutani ware, but I am not certain as I am not familiar with the markings. It has been used a few times as an incense burner and displayed during the Hinamatsuri. It is a used item and does not come with a wooden box. The base is not the original, but the color matches well, and we have always used them together, so I will include it. Please let me know if you don't need it. Please be aware that this is a used item that has been used for many years.
