◎ This is a Takamine NPT-108. It's made in Japan, and the serial number is 270702XX. It's an electric-acoustic type. The body is a thin type; the thickness of a standard 106, etc., is about 10.2 cm at the bottom, but this one is about 78 mm thick, making it a thin-body type. Both the neck and body are very solid and carefully made (see images). The sound, in my subjective opinion, has a good balance. As an electric-acoustic, it has good sound pressure, and the equalizer on the control panel allows for a wide range of sound creation. ◎ Regarding scratches, there are strumming scratches on the top of the body (see images). The back of the body has one noticeable scratch and other scratches (see images). There are a few small scratches on the back of the neck (see images). There are small scratches on the headstock edges (see images). Other than that, there are small scratches, but no major scratches, cracks, or damage (see images). The metal parts, the tuners, are in a clean condition; the tuners have been replaced, and there are traces of the original screw holes (see images). The frets have some dullness and discoloration due to metal fatigue (see images). The fingerboard has light playing marks and nail scratches, and light playing dirt (see images). Also, there are traces of what appears to be glue on the binding at the 1st fret on the 1st and 6th string sides (see images). One of the retaining screw covers on the right side of the bridge saddle is missing (see images). The strings have been replaced with new ones. ◎ The neck has no warping. The string height is approximately 2.8 mm at the 12th fret on the 6th string (with a 1-yen coin fitting with room to spare), and approximately 2.8 mm on the 1st string (with a 1-yen coin fitting with room to spare). There is no difficulty playing it in its current condition, but if it is difficult to play, there is room in the bridge saddle, so it can be adjusted by shaving it down. The frets are worn down to about 3-4/10 (estimated) depending on the location, with 6-7/10 remaining; the wear is mainly in the shape of the strings. The pickup circuit has no sound issues, but there is a slight hum (batteries are not included for shipping). ◎ It can be used in its current condition, but due to the aforementioned pickup condition and the effects of aging, etc., it will be treated as junk, so please purchase it with the understanding that it is a junk item.
