I'm selling a lot of items that belonged to my great-grandmother, who was born in the Meiji era. I'm gradually listing them as I found many kimonos and bolts of fabric. These items are primarily from my great-grandmother and possibly some from my great-great-grandparents, so I believe they date from the Meiji period to the mid-Showa period. The newer items are likely from around the 1960s. Since they are old, there may be some oversights besides what is described, so please be understanding. This is a beautiful black montsuki kimono, not flashy, with a light hand-embroidered eba pattern along the mountain peaks or like clouds. I love it very much, but the length doesn't fit me at all, so I hope to sell it to someone who will wear it or repurpose it. I believe it is a black montsuki, but due to its age, it has a dark olive green ground color compared to recent black montsuki. It's not uneven, so it may be the original color rather than fading. It has five family crests, with a paulownia crest. There is about 2cm of cotton at the hem. The family crests may have been added later (as there was paper holding the crests in place). There are no color irregularities, but there are a few areas that look like faint stains when you look closely. They are barely noticeable, but please be aware of this. Please refer to the photos.
