Hello, good evening. Thank you for viewing! This is the SE-R0187 remote control for a TOSHIBA HDD/DVD recorder. Since there are likely no machines available to receive the signal, I cannot confirm whether any signals are being emitted, let alone test all the buttons. Also, as it is an old item, I will not be checking it with a smartphone. Regarding cleaning, I have only wiped it down briefly with a wet wipe. I have not gone to the trouble of cleaning the gaps between the buttons, etc. Please research the compatible models yourself. This is a junk item, and I will not accept returns or refunds for any reason, including incompatibility. Please purchase only if you can accept anything that may happen, as it is junk. As you can see in the photos, there is discoloration. The battery compartment was clean. I plan to wrap it once in bubble wrap and send it in a vinyl bag with a Yu-Packet Post sticker attached.
