This is a high-quality fabric with a wax-resist dyeing style, reminiscent of Javanese batik. The dye penetrates the fabric, resulting in a reversible design with the same pattern on both sides. The continuous pattern is beautiful, and there is enough fabric for a dress (see below). The fabric is soft and supple, making it ideal for costume making, as well as bags, accessories, interior design, and collection purposes. The patterns, primarily featuring plant motifs, give an ethnic and classical impression. This item was acquired 30 years ago from a researcher at the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
