This is a "Mei-Sometsuke Shirunuki Mon" (Ming-style dyed underglaze with white space design) of flower and plant branches, made by Fukagawa Seiji, purveyor to the Imperial Household Agency. Four medium plates (diameter 14.5cm x height 2.5cm). I received these as a gift, and they have been stored in a box in a hanging cabinet. I have never used them, and I don't think I will in the future, so I am offering them for sale. The back of the plates reads "Mei Sentoku Nen Sei Utsushi" (Made in imitation of the Sentoku era of the Ming Dynasty). These plates are made by Fukagawa Seiji using modern techniques to replicate the porcelain made during the Sentoku era of the Ming Dynasty (1426-1435). Unlike plates that use gold, these are suitable for everyday use. They will be placed in a dedicated box and carefully wrapped before being sent.
