The obi woven with sophisticated high techniques by Kawamura Orimono is used for the divine clothing of shrines and temples, and is also highly regarded by the Imperial Household Agency. In particular, it is a famous story that Empress Michiko wore a Kawamura Orimono fukuro obi at the garden party on the occasion of the enthronement of the current Emperor.
