This is a decorative basket I found on Lombok Island, located next to Bali, Indonesia. It's an old basket, carefully woven from thinly split bamboo. With the rapid advancement of modernization, the elders who used to do this handcraft in between agricultural work have disappeared, and the craft has declined. It would be useful for interior decoration, such as putting a cup inside and arranging Japanese flowers, hanging it up, or using it as a lampshade with a small light bulb.
