Patagonia, popular for its fleece items like SYNCHILLA and Retro X, as well as various other outdoor gear, is an outdoor brand based in Ventura, California, USA, founded in 1957. It started as a mountaineering equipment company by mountaineer Yvon Chouinard. Later, the company selling mountaineering equipment changed its name to BLACK DIAMOND and continues to enjoy immense popularity. This is a softshell pant made by Patagonia in 2006. For mountaineering, to prevent water from entering and to stop small stones from getting into boots, the hem has adjusters designed to be worn over any boots. However, when the hem width is fully opened, it creates a flared, trendy silhouette, making it suitable for everyday wear as well. It has many pockets with zippers, so the functionality is top-notch. The pocket placement is also interesting, and I personally liked the logo on the side pockets. Highly recommended for those who like tech-inspired styles. Personally, I thought this pant looked great with a flannel shirt and VANS. I haven't used it for mountaineering, but for everyday wear, so there are no noticeable stains. Recommended as a substitute for chinos.
