This newly designed diaphragm converts sound into electrical signals with high efficiency without changing the "tone" that was lost with the "heavy" diaphragms and voice coils of the past. The output transformer made by AMI/TAB-Funkenwerk gives a unique warmth and presence reminiscent of good old analog audio. The proximity effect in the low frequencies is also moderately controlled, making it an excellent microphone recommended not only for vocals but also for recording drums and bass.
