These are nouer short boots. The shape is lovely, and I think they would go well with both skirts and pants. The soles have good non-slip grips. I think the previous seller may have added the non-slip grips... There is writing on the soles in pen. If you are concerned about this, please refrain from purchasing. Color: Black
