This is a carefully woven, medium-sized panier. I loved its old, round shape and found it adorable, but I've decided to let it go as I have too many baskets. It's a classic French antique panier with an elaborate design. The rattan has a slightly reddish hue. I purchased it from an antique shop in Italy. They told me they acquired it during a buying trip to France. It's sturdy, but the base wood seems to have been well-made, resulting in some handmade imperfections. It stands stably, but the round bottom makes it sway slightly when touched. I used to display dried flowers in it.
