Thank you for viewing this item. This is a black iron kettle made of cast iron, featuring a crane and turtle design. Size: Body height: Approximately 14cm Body width: Approximately 20cm Weight: Approximately 2.5kg Capacity: Unknown, not measured Material: Cast iron There are commemorative characters (Showa 36...) on the underside of the lid. This iron kettle has endured well, hanging from an irori (sunken hearth) hook and placed on a trivet, covered in soot. The rust and soot have been removed by hand as much as possible. There appear to be no cracks visually, but since it hasn't been filled with water, I cannot guarantee it won't leak. A Showa-era heritage with a smoky silver taste. If anyone is interested, please consider it.
