This is a set of five rectangular plates from Sanyo Toki's brand, Chikuzai. The wide border features a karakusa (Arabesque) pattern. The oval-shaped design showcases pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms. The soft indigo dye, reminiscent of old Imari ware, gives the design a more antique feel. The corners of the rectangular plates are slightly indented. This adds a playful touch and character to the dignified, dyed porcelain.
