This is an Artist model from before the acquisition. After purchasing it from overseas, I stripped the lacquer and processed it with chemicals. After purchasing it, I had it thoroughly inspected, replaced the felts, and converted all the water keys from levers to Amado style. During the repair, the lead pipe screw was slightly bent, but it functions without any problems. Most of the dents were removed, but there are a few spots where you can still feel a slight indentation. A slide trigger was originally attached, but the quality was quite poor, and the screws stopped working, so I removed it, but I will include it. The case is a DEG trumpet/flugelhorn double case, but please consider it suitable only for transportation. When comparing the sound to a vintage Conn, this one has a more mellow sound. I use a Curry FLJ cup, but even with that, I felt it was quite dark. The valve compression isn't perfect, but it worked fine. For a 0.459-inch flugelhorn, it has a very large bore size and a straight valve configuration, and some people overseas seem to prefer this. The lead pipe has been replaced, and the shank is between large (Yamaha) and small (Bach); with a large shank, the fit is shallow, and with a small shank, it goes in a little deeper.
