This is a male type drawing mannequin. I purchased it new and only moved it once, after which I stored it as I had no further use for it. There are no issues with its movement. You can insert the transparent stand into the base to support the figure, but it can stand on its own unless you make it do a pose that is difficult to balance, so you can use it as is. There are no noticeable scratches or stains on the main body, but the parts case is made of plastic, so it has some minor scratches from storage. I don't think it will affect usage, but please be aware of this if you are concerned about minor details.
