A translucent, milky white checkered pattern like delicate lace. The expression of the glass changes dramatically depending on how the light hits it, and its beauty is breathtaking. This is a very rare example of the "aburidashi" technique using milky white glass. Because it requires such a high level of skill, the technique was once discontinued, but Hirota Glass has revived it as part of their Taisho Roman Glass series. I received this a while ago, but as I don't drink, I haven't had the opportunity to use it. I've kept it as part of my collection, displayed in a glass cabinet for a long time. The red and jet-black stems are also lustrous and very beautiful. Combined with the plump texture, it's a glass of flawless beauty. It would be lovely to use it for aperitifs or as a dish for appetizers during the New Year's holiday.
