Noh Mask "Chujo" Artist: Tangetsu (Togetsu) This is a work by the Noh mask maker Tangetsu. 【Size】 Height 22 cm, Width 15 cm This mask was learned from my late father, who was a member of the Kanze school. It has been stored in a closet for a long time after its creation. The cardboard outer box is dirty, but the paulownia wood box and the Noh mask itself are in good condition. The mask will be wrapped in brocade fabric and shipped. A string will be included. I am also listing other Noh masks. ◾️This is a mask of a young man said to represent the appearance of Ariwara no Narihira, a poet of the Heian period. It gives a sense of the elegance and delicacy of a nobleman of the imperial court. A touch of melancholy drifts from the two wrinkles between the eyebrows.
