Thank you for viewing. This is a small Imban plate purchased at an antique market. The auspiciousness of the sea bream is well-represented. Unlike the common single-color designs, the fish and bamboo grass are colored separately. There is a "toriashi" (hairline crack) on the underside of the foot. It does not appear to reach the surface. There is something like a hairline crack on one edge, but it seems to have been integrated with the glaze, so it is likely a kiln scar that occurred before firing.
