A set of lacquered bamboo-patterned containers (lidded container) and small plates, decorated with maki-e (sprinkled picture) and raden (mother-of-pearl inlay). This is one of the tea utensils called a "Kumizara" or "Kashiki" (confectionery container). It is at least 50 years old. Although it has not been used as a tea utensil, it was brought out once a year as a prop for a Hina doll display, and has been stored in a completely dark room for the last 30 years. There is a thin scratch that runs diagonally across the top of the lid of the container (photo 9), which is not visible depending on the angle of the light. I don't think there are any other noticeable scratches, but there may be minor scratches. Please refer to the photos for the condition, and consider purchasing after understanding that it is a used item. - Set contents: 7 lacquerware items (6 plates, 1 container) - Design: Gold leaf decoration - Color: Black - Usage: Confectionery container/Kurobako (food container) Container: Diameter approx. 9cm, height approx. 6.5cm Plate: Diameter approx. 8cm, height approx. 1cm Thank you for viewing.
