Thank you for viewing. This is a Shinobue flute, 8-hon choshi, Doremi scale, made by Hidekatsu. Although it says Reiwa 3 (2021), I purchased it in Reiwa 4 (2022). I splurged to buy this flute because I thought its sound was the best fit for the performance that year, but I haven't used it much since then. It's fully wrapped, so the sound carries well. It's perfect for playing with taiko drums. I also used it for solo Shinobue performances, making it an all-around flute. However, I'm now mainly using utamono (song-style) flutes, so I'm reluctantly selling this to fund the purchase of a new utamono flute. Currently, Hidekatsu flutes have a waiting period of over a year after ordering. Moreover, the maker himself said he would no longer make fully wrapped flutes with birch bark, which is why I bought it. It has aged well, and the lacquer has hardened nicely, making it easier to play. It's an expensive flute, so I'm listing it with the hope that it will reach someone who will cherish it.
