I purchased this new at a store and have used it about 3-4 times. There are no noticeable scratches or stains, and it's in beautiful condition, just as it was when I bought it. It's difficult to see in the photos, but there are some scratches on the clear case, which were present from the time of purchase. There are no scratches on the ligature itself.
