This is the 1998 Royal Copenhagen Christmas plate, "Welcome Home." The motif for this year depicts a traditional Danish winter scene of a boy and a dog welcoming their father home from fishing on the shore. In the distance, a typical Danish rural church can be seen. Christmas plates are produced with a new design every year and are limited to production in that year only. The size is approximately 18cm in diameter and 2cm in height.
