Kohon Kano, Maker Krishna S-2, 1980 (Based on the materials, it appears to be a #30 class from around 1980, or a #50 class or higher from around 1990.) Kohon Kano, born in 1939. In 1958, at the age of 19, he entered a workshop and began making guitars under his father, Kinmei Kano. He became independent in 1966. As he publicly stated, "The sound I aim for is a guitar with a 'core'," and as such, it has excellent projection and resonates with a clear, pure sound as if the air is clear. There is a video from the Tokai Shokunin Retsuden (2017). The guitar for sale is different from Kohon Kano's standard models; it is a guitar from the Krishna series, designed (requested) by Mr. Y. Yamaguchi (presumably a performer) and made by Kohon Kano. It seems that the S-II model, with a spruce/rosewood configuration, was produced for several years in the 1980s, but the model for sale is believed to be an early example, with an S-2 configuration of spruce/Brazilian rosewood. The condition is as follows: there is a repair on the top, but it appears to have been done by a workshop and has a beautiful, like-new finish. There are no cracks on the sides or back. The back has some warping of the wood, and there is a pickup plug-in port on the bottom side. The neck feels normal. Overall, there are no noticeable scratches, giving the impression of a beautiful instrument. The appearance is similar to the 50th-anniversary guitar model No. 180, and it has the air of a high-end instrument.
