[7] Condition: New, Beautiful Condition [8] Shape: Natural Inkstone ◉ The raw stone is Paleozoic green porphyry, which is rarely produced around Ofunato and Ichinoseki in Iwate Prefecture. It is usually reddish-brown with purple cloud-like patterns and green circular patterns. In particular, the stone material from Higashi-Iwai County has been called Shohoji Stone since ancient times, and has a history of production since the time of the Fujiwara dynasty. ○ This work is a relatively large inkstone that makes full use of the natural stone by a craftsman. The hill has the characteristics of Shiun stone, with a beautiful lightning bolt pattern of pale green-blue on a reddish-brown background, running from the left to the lower right, making it unique. Furthermore, a star pattern can be seen in the middle of the hill.
