I remember the early Showa 40s (late 1960s) with Manager Shigeru Mizuhara, pitchers Hiroshi Gondo and Eiji Bando, and the "Star of the Giants" manga and TV show. Please check the condition in the photos. Pitcher Gondo later became the manager of the BayStars and won the Japan Series. Number 20, the ace number for the Chunichi Dragons, was passed down from Sugiura, Gondo, and Senichi Hoshino. After Senichi Hoshino, it was Tatsuo Komatsu.
