This is a square plate by Bizen-yaki potter Mamoru Shibaoka. Mamoru Shibaoka was born in 1952. His uncle was Kozan Shibaoka. He grew up in a favorable environment as a potter and entered the world of pottery under the guidance of his father, Kazumi, and his older brother, Nobuyoshi. He is a regular member of the Japan Kogei Association. This Bizen square plate has a magnificent landscape and is quite thick and sturdy.
