This is a fascinating book that examines the history of Yanagi Sōetsu and the Mingei movement he founded, focusing on their connection to Kyoto. It features in-depth essays by Koji Sugiyama, Maki Tsuchida, Tamae Sagi, and Naoto Yotsukama, as well as a section that carefully introduces places in Kyoto associated with Mingei, making it a very satisfying read. This is a beautiful copy from the first edition in 2018, stored in near-new condition. The obi (sleeve) is still present, and the sales card and reading card are still inserted.
