I framed a Wills cigarette card purchased from an antique shop in England. It can be displayed on the wall as is, or you can insert the stick shown in photo 3 and place it on a desk or other surface. You can hang it on the wall with the pin shown in photo 5. The card is probably from the "Old English Garden Flowers" series (circa 1930s). It's about 100 years old. This one features a beautiful lupine flower. It's like a rainbow. According to Wikipedia, Wills: "In 1887, Wills were one of the first UK tobacco companies to include advertising cards in their packs of cigarettes, but it was not until 1895 that they produced their first general interest set of cards ('Ships and Sailors').[14] Other Wills sets include 'Aviation' (1910), 'Lucky Charms' (1923), 'British Butterflies' (1927), 'Famous Golfers' (1930), 'Garden Flowers' (1933) and 'Air Raid Precautions' (1938)." I was surprised to see a framed card from the same series selling for over 10,000 yen each at a British antique fair at Maruzen in Nihonbashi. The frame size is approximately 8 x 10 x 0.7 cm. It's very small, but it has a presence, and just one can add atmosphere to a room.
