I made a camisole by deconstructing a Meisen michiyuki (a type of kimono coat). Because it's antique, there are some noticeable stitch marks, and some areas have been reinforced from the back (Photos 12 & 13). Therefore, I'm offering it at a lower price than other camisoles. I hope that those who don't mind these details will consider purchasing it. The original michiyuki was in beautiful condition (Photos 14-17). Meisen can fade when washed, so I only sterilized it with a hot iron. The black base with the dogtooth violet pattern is lovely. The color combination of muted beige, gray, and orange is exquisite. The fabric feels supple and smooth. To prevent the overall silhouette from appearing bulky, I've used thin elastic only in the back yoke to create a clean look. Silk kimonos are very precious. Deconstructing a kimono is a lot of work, but it's wonderful to be able to enjoy the feel of Japanese fabric in everyday life. It's also great to be able to enjoy the unique colors and combinations that are characteristic of Japan. I enjoy making Western clothes as a hobby, specializing in straight stitching. I upcycle old kimonos and furoshiki (wrapping cloths) made of tsumugi, meisen, komon, and other fabrics. As this is handmade by an amateur, there may be thread holes, remaining threads, small scratches, and creases that cannot be removed by ironing. Thank you for your understanding and consideration. ✳︎Please avoid washing as much as possible, and after wearing, hang it on a hanger to let it air out. ✳︎Everything except the camisole is for photography purposes. Material: Likely silk 【Size】 Free size Straps: Approximately 40cm Width: Approximately 48cm (at the bottom of the yoke) Length from the top of the yoke: Approximately 45cm Hem circumference: Approximately 130cm The torso is 160cm tall.
